Create an organization event in Podz

Youth and community programs run on sessions: kickoffs, workshops, showcases, mentor nights. Podz treats those as organization events — visible to members, ready for rosters, and wired into Event Hub for attendance.

What you get when you create an event

  • A named session on the org Events list every coordinator can find.
  • An Event Hub workspace for rosters, check-in, and intent outreach.
  • A stable record you can reference in commitments ("follow up after Season Kickoff").

Watch: create and save an event

From Events, click Create New Event, name the session, confirm the schedule, and save.

Step-by-step (matches the video)

  • Open Events from the sidebar.
  • Click Create New Event.
  • Enter a clear name participants will recognize (for example Season Kickoff Night).
  • Review the default schedule — Podz can start on the next upcoming date.
  • Save; the event appears on the organization list and opens to Event Hub.

Staff the roster before doors open

After the event exists, enroll people from your organization directory. That roster is what check-in and follow-up use — add people first if your directory is still empty.
